Spontaneous Dinner Date❤

Delicious food paired with good company always equals a wonderful occasion. The other evening, my boyfriend spontaneously took me to an Italian restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was located in a not so lively looking plaza, but the restaurant itself was adorable!  The place was surrounded by greenery and it was decorated by little LED lights. So of course, we sat outside in the patio to enjoy the romantic ambience and cool weather. We started off our dinner with calamari and some complementary bread with olive oil and basaltic vinaigrette. I had the lasagna for my main course and he ordered the lobster ravioli. They were both delicious and probably one of the best pastas I've ever tasted. Despite how full we both were, we decided to also try their deserts. I ordered a tiramisu, while he ordered cannoli. Although the deserts were good, I would definitely stick to their main courses and go elsewhere for desert next time. Maybe it's because of the fact that the tiramisu had a very strong taste of rum or some sort of liquor, which wasn't exactly appetizing to me or just simply because I don't exactly have a sweet tooth. It was a fun dinner date and I love the fact that it was so spontaneous! Hopefully, we go on more of these surprise dates sometime soon. Or, maybe I should plan one ^.^

Designer Lust

Yves Saint Laurent is my current designer obsession and everything about this brand screams classy. I love the gold Y hardware detailing on their handbags/wallets. And if you don't know already, black and gold is one of my favorite color combinations and this brand definitely carries this combination throughout their merchandise. For now, I guess I'll just have to stick to my mom's hand me down YSL heels. Not complaining though, because they are one of my favorite shoes from her collection and I'm so glad we have the same foot size. Fulfilling my obsession for designer items through my mama's closet isn't so bad since she is pretty fashionable and I'm so thankful that she allows me to raid her closet. Well, most of the time~

Summertime Sadness '13

Sadly, summer has come to an end for me as I have started my fall semester. The most difficult thing about going back to school is having to change my whole entire sleep schedule. Overall, I really like my classes this semester and hope to excel in all of them. Aiming for that 4.0! This summer was all about summer school (I took 3 courses) and my first job, along with some fun adventures. I was able to go on a mini vacation to New York with my family and it was a great first time. The City is so much more fast-paced compared to the LA lifestyle that I'm so used to. One of my favorite memory from my trip was visiting Laudree. A French bakery that offers a variety of delicious macaroons. My favorite flavors are Orange Blossom and Rose. It was a bit nostalgic for me and reminded me of my time in Paris last winter. I love the store's interior and every little detail of the place reminds me of Paris or some romantic European city. The store, which is located in the Upper East Side, also reminded me of Gossip Girl (one of my all time fave TV series). Besides New York, I was also able to visit some of the surrounding states around the East Coast and the Niagara Falls. It was cool to see the waterfall up close and extremely windy riding the ferry. The trip was too short, but hopefully I'll be visiting the Big Apple soon (maybe this winter). And of course, my summer was filled with delicious food adventures~ The only thing I regret is the fact that I DID NOT, I repeat DID NOT, go to the beach all summer. That is just extremely shocking since I live in California. I can't wait to see what adventures I'll be embarking on next summer and if all goes well I know I will be entering a whole new chapter in my life. Until then, I will be working hard so that I am able to pursue my goals and strive towards a bright future.
